Sam started Vapour Central while the UK vape market was still relatively new. Early orders were arranged around other work and delivered locally, with much of the growth coming through repeat customers and word of mouth.
Vapour Central Ltd was incorporated on 29 July 2016. The first dedicated shop opened on St Helens Road in Westcliff-on-Sea later that year, giving customers somewhere to compare products, ask questions and return for help.
In 2017, the branch moved to its larger home on Hamlet Court Road. That remains Vapour Central's longest-established shop and is now also the base for online orders.
