Sam started Vapour Central in Hadleigh in June 2014, handling orders around other work and delivering locally. The first dedicated shop opened in Westcliff-on-Sea in 2016, followed by Leigh-on-Sea in 2021 and Rayleigh in 2024.
The market has changed enormously since those early days. Products, regulations and customer expectations have all moved on. Our role has stayed straightforward: understand the products, explain the options honestly and remain available when somebody needs help after buying.
We are not owned by a tobacco company, manufacturer or national convenience chain. We choose what to stock and what not to stock, based on reliability, customer need and whether we are prepared to support it.

Advice based on the person
Device type, nicotine strength, liquid, coil and inhaling style all affect the result. We ask questions before recommending something instead of simply pointing to the newest or most expensive product.
Beginner and advanced knowledge
We support adults buying their first refillable device as well as experienced customers looking for specialist coils, replacement parts, rebuildables and higher-power equipment.
Setup and aftercare
Customers can return for help with filling, coils, pods, compatibility and everyday troubleshooting. Most eligible vape hardware also includes our additional six-month warranty against manufacturing faults.
Responsible retailing
Nicotine products are sold only to adults aged 18 or over. We use established suppliers, keep regulated-product records and maintain online age-verification controls.

NCSCT-trained advisers offer free, practical switching guidance at Westcliff, Leigh-on-Sea and Rayleigh. At Westcliff, eligible customers may also be able to access the structured funded Everyone Health programme, subject to the programme's current rules.

More than vaping
Vaping remains our main specialism, but the range is expanding carefully. CBD is available at all three stores. Central Collective and selected wellness products are based at Westcliff, while hot and cold drinks are available at Westcliff and Leigh.
