About Vapour Central
Vapour Central is an independent Essex specialist in vaping, nicotine alternatives and stop-smoking support. Founded in 2014 and on the high street since 2016, we help adult smokers and existing nicotine users make informed choices without pressure, jargon or nonsense.
Who we are
Vapour Central began as a small one person Essex business in 2014. We opened our first high-street store in Westcliff-on-Sea in 2016 and moved to our current larger Hamlet Court Road flagship store in 2017.
Today, we serve customers through our specialist stores in Westcliff, Leigh-on-Sea and Rayleigh, alongside our online shop. We remain independently owned and focused on giving people proper advice rather than simply selling them a vape and sending them on their way.
Our approach is straightforward: honest recommendations, carefully selected products and practical support after the sale, no matter how small.

Specialist advice—not simply another place selling vapes
Vaping can be unnecessarily confusing. Devices, coils, liquids, nicotine strengths and vaping styles can all affect whether a product is suitable for someone.
We help complete beginners understand the basics without overwhelming them with jargon. That includes choosing an appropriate device, understanding nicotine strengths and learning how to use and maintain a reusable kit properly.
We also support experienced vapers with advanced hardware, rebuildables, DIY supplies, replacement parts and practical troubleshooting. Our recommendations are based on what is suitable for the customer, not simply what is newest or most profitable.

Trained stop-smoking support
Our team is trained through the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training (NCSCT), giving our advisers a proper understanding of nicotine dependence, smoking behaviour, cravings and the practical challenges involved in moving away from cigarettes.
From 2018 until August 2024, Vapour Central delivered structured in-store support service through Southend’s local council run Smoke Free service. We now work in partnership with Everyone Health, a contractor for Southend Smoke Free, providing a free, funded stop-smoking programme at our Westcliff and Leigh-on-Sea stores.
General NCSCT trained switching support is available across all three Vapour Central locations. Whether someone wants structured support or simply needs help choosing a sensible first setup, they can speak to us without pressure or judgement.

Vaping remains our main area of expertise, but it will not suit every adult smoker or nicotine user.
Our range therefore includes other smoke-free nicotine options, including nicotine pouches, strips and lozenges. These can provide an alternative for adults who do not want to smoke or vape, or who need something practical for particular situations.
We are also developing a carefully selected range of everyday lifestyle products. We describe these products honestly and do not present them as miracle cures or replacements for professional medical advice.

We back what we sell. Most eligible hardware comes with a six-month warranty for added peace of mind.
We also provide practical setup and troubleshooting help, both in-store and on-line, because support should not end as soon as the payment goes through.

🌱 Recycling
Our stores accept used vape devices and batteries for responsible recycling, including products bought elsewhere.
Between May 2024 and May 2025, our stores collected more than 1.5 tonnes of used vape devices and associated battery waste for recycling, equivalent to tens of thousands of returned devices or a large adult hippopotamus.
We also encourage customers to move towards reliable, reusable products wherever appropriate.

We are proudly dog-friendly, so well-behaved four legged friends are welcome in all our stores.
It is a small thing, but it is part of what makes our shops feel local, relaxed and human rather than overly corporate and robotic.
There is also a fair chance your dog will receive as warm (or warmer) a welcome as you do.
