Free UK Delivery On Orders £30+

A changing selection of alcohol-free, caffeinated, botanical, vitamin and mineral drinks available through Vapour Central’s Central Collective range. “Functional” is a retail category description—it is not a promise that a drink will improve focus, mood, calm, sleep or health.

What you may find in the range

  • alcohol-free and low/no-alcohol social alternatives
  • energy drinks and other caffeinated products
  • drinks containing vitamins, minerals or electrolytes
  • botanical and ingredient-led lifestyle drinks
  • new lines trialled in small quantities before wider ranging

Availability changes by product and branch. The product label—not the category name—is the source for ingredients, nutrition, serving size and warnings.

What “functional” does—and does not—mean

Some manufacturers build drinks around a particular ingredient, nutritional profile or use occasion. That can make the range useful to browse, but it does not justify broad claims such as “maximum focus”, “instant calm”, “mental clarity” or guaranteed energy without an authorised claim and the required formulation.

Where a product uses a specific nutrition or health claim, the wording and conditions should match the Great Britain nutrition and health claims rules. We do not turn a product name, influencer statement or ingredient trend into a medical or performance promise.

Alcohol-free choices

These can provide a different adult social option, but “alcohol-free”, “low alcohol” and “0.0%” are not interchangeable descriptions. Check the individual label where avoiding alcohol completely matters.

Caffeinated drinks

Compare caffeine per serving rather than relying on the can design or the word “energy”. High-caffeine products carry suitability warnings and may be inappropriate for children, people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or anyone sensitive to caffeine.

Vitamin and mineral drinks

A named nutrient can only support a specific health claim when that claim is authorised and the product meets its conditions of use. More ingredients do not automatically mean a greater benefit.

Nootropic-style products

“Nootropic” is used here as an ingredient-led retail category. It does not guarantee better memory, concentration, mood, creativity, calm or productivity.

Check the label before buying

  • caffeine content per can or serving
  • sugar, sweeteners and total energy
  • allergens and ingredient sensitivities
  • recommended serving and maximum daily use
  • age, pregnancy, breastfeeding or medication warnings
  • whether a product is genuinely alcohol-free or contains a small amount

Food and drink products are not a substitute for medical advice. Speak to a healthcare professional where a medical condition, pregnancy, medication or possible interaction is involved.

Available through our Essex stores

The selection changes as we test new products and respond to demand. Contact Westcliff, Leigh-on-Sea or Rayleigh before travelling for a specific drink.

Functional drinks FAQs

Does a “focus” drink guarantee better concentration?

No. A product name or category does not guarantee an effect. Look for the actual ingredients and any authorised claim used under the correct conditions.

Are all functional drinks caffeine-free?

No. Some contain substantial caffeine while others contain none. Check the amount per serving and the warning label.

Are alcohol-free drinks always 0.0%?

Not necessarily. Terminology and alcohol content can differ, so check the individual product label when complete avoidance matters.

Can staff advise whether a drink is safe with my medication?

No. Staff can help locate ingredient and label information, but interaction and medical-suitability questions should go to an appropriate healthcare professional.

Can I reserve a drink at a store?

Contact the branch with the exact product. The team can confirm current stock and whether it can be held.

Responsible use: follow the serving guidance, do not combine multiple high-caffeine products without accounting for the total, and keep all products away from children.
