1. Real Living Wage
We pay at least the Real Living Wage to all employed staff. Pay is reviewed at least annually.
We are proud to hold Good Business Charter accreditation. Below is a clear summary of how Vapour Central meets each of the ten commitments and how we continue to improve.
The ten commitments
We pay at least the Real Living Wage to all employed staff. Pay is reviewed at least annually.
We avoid exploitative zero hour arrangements. Rotas and hours are communicated with reasonable notice and changes are discussed with staff.
We support mental and physical well being through fair workloads, safe working practices and access to training and development.
We encourage open communication and feedback. Staff can raise ideas or concerns directly with managers or anonymously via email.
We are an equal opportunities employer. Recruitment and progression decisions are based on merit and fairness.
We reduce environmental impact by consolidating stock orders where possible and selecting greener delivery partners. We prefer DPD for courier services due to their green commitments, and we minimise packaging where practical.
We are committed to paying the right amount of tax on time in line with UK law and guidance.
We publish our customer commitment and act on feedback quickly so issues are put right and used to improve service. See our Customer Commitment.
We buy through established UK wholesalers who are VAT registered and compliant with UK law. We require MHRA notified products under TRPR and we review supplier credentials. We prioritise wholesalers with transparent sourcing and sustainability credentials.
We pay suppliers promptly and fairly according to agreed terms. We monitor outstanding balances and aim to resolve queries quickly.
We review our practices each year against GBC expectations. We track feedback from staff, customers and suppliers and update training, policies and processes accordingly.
If you have questions about our GBC commitments or suggestions for improvement please contact us.
